Our AimsThe fundamental aim of the Street Law department is to provide support, education and guidance to our immediate community. One of the many ways we have accomplished this is through our partnership with Tower Hamlets College (THC), where members of our Street Law department organise sessions designed to inform and engage sixth form students that are interested in a career in law. This year we plan to work with more schools and sixth form or colleges, in order to engage and encourage more students who aspire to study law.
From September 2018, we aim to forge new relationships with charities who are involved with the immediate community, in order to improve awareness about the law for different perspectives. For example, rough sleeping charity Streetlink and women’s charity Laamiga. |
What We DoOne of our aims is to expand, and for this to happen it is imperative that our assistants endeavour to make long-lasting relationships.
The Street Law department also has a very proud and longstanding partnership with the national domestic violence charity, Refuge. Through various fundraising events, such as bake sales and inspirational lectures and speeches we continue to support Refuge, whilst increasing awareness about the issue of domestic violence. From 2018 we aim to maintain this. |
